LEARNING

Raker Religious School

Hebrew, Jewish stories, history, holidays and family experiences—beginning with Mazel Tots and continuing through high school.

A foundation in Jewish life

Mazel Tots welcomes potty-trained three- and four-year-olds. In kindergarten through sixth grade, learning includes Torah, Jewish history, Hebrew, life cycles, ethics, Shabbat, holidays, Israel, mitzvot and tzedakah. Seventh grade explores character development through Holocaust education.

Hebrew and B’nei Mitzvah

Grades 4–6 can take part in individual Hebrew tutoring. B’nei Mitzvah preparation is a two-year journey: students lead portions of a Saturday morning service, read Torah and Haftarah, and offer a D’var Torah.

Learning as a family

PACT—Parents and Children Together—combines family learning with a shared project. An annual grades 4–7 retreat at Camp Harry and Daisy Stein in Prescott gives students time to learn and connect beyond the classroom.

Teen learning and leadership

Students in grades 8–12 can continue learning and apply to become Madrichim or Madrichim in Training, supporting younger students while remaining enrolled in Religious School.
