FIRST OPTION TO EVALUATE

RJ Web Builder is already WordPress.

Temple Solel is listed as an RJ Web Builder 3.0 congregation. Before recommending a move, confirm whether URJ can support the custom theme, templates and interactions required by this design.

What RJ Web Builder includes

URJ provides the standard service to congregations in good standing without a separate platform subscription charge. Hosting, maintenance, security, support and one development site are included. Domain registration and email are separate.

The published terms estimate $80 per hour for billable redesign or theme-switch work, and $400 for an additional development site or blank-slate restart. Custom work is quoted in advance. These are published service terms, not Temple Solel’s invoice.

Can this design run on RJ?

Potentially. Its design can be implemented using WordPress templates, the supported builder and custom CSS, or an approved custom theme. RJ reviews third-party themes, plugins and custom code; direct file access is restricted. This preview cannot simply be assumed to upload as-is.

Confirm acceptance of our theme and interactive code, access to a development site, the update process, implementation costs and ongoing support responsibilities.

Platform choice

Stay with RJ Web Builder

Preferred if the service can preserve this design and provide a clear editing workflow. Included maintenance and familiar administration are valuable.

Independent managed WordPress

The next option if RJ’s restrictions materially limit the design or workflow. Use a custom theme, a small set of editable layouts and managed hosting.

Keep the systems staff already use

ShulCloud continues to manage member access, payments and registrations. Solel’s official calendar currently links to Google Calendar. Confirm which calendar staff maintain and display events from that authoritative source, avoiding duplicate entry.

The editing experience

Staff should change content inside designed templates: a few clear fields for events, announcements, people and page content. Include preview, drafts, revisions, scheduled notices and limited permissions. Staff should not need to adjust typography, spacing or page structure.

What remains before launch

This is a private website preview. It does not yet have a connected production CMS, shared staff publishing, event synchronization or production account permissions. Choose and test the hosting implementation with the temple’s actual staff before switching the public website.
