- Community/social action pages: https://templesolel.org/community/, https://templesolel.org/community/socialaction/, https://templesolel.org/community/committees/
- Events have two public surfaces: WordPress Events Calendar at https://templesolel.org/events/list/ and a Google calendar embed linked from the main nav: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=c_46ktaai1rmm03dueigd3nvk5q8%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America%2FPhoenix. The live September 2026 embed showed 35 events, including recurring Torah Study, Mahjongg, Erev Shabbat, High Holiday services, board meeting, family Shabbat and Sukkot events.

## Member, registration, and contact systems

- ShulCloud is the main external member/payment system: https://templesolelaz.shulcloud.com/. Public home exposes login, calendar, donate, member/nonmember High Holiday ticket request forms, renewal, Religious School registration and eNUZ signup. Homepage member-directory handoff is https://templesolelaz.shulcloud.com/member/directory.
- Membership forms page: https://templesolel.org/membership/forms/ includes 2026–2027 renewal/new-member and Religious School forms, 2026–2027 calendar/guidebook, and a camp scholarship PDF. It also references a 2025–26 benefits PDF and 2025–26 scholarship form.
- Main contact: 480.991.7414; office@templesolel.org; 6805 E McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. Homepage source: https://templesolel.org/
- Preschool: 480.991.4545 and https://www.solelpreschool.org/. Religious School contact listed as aeisen@templesolel.org. Social Action: socialaction@templesolel.org. Membership: members@templesolel.org.
- The older /home/ page lists fax 480.951.0829, business hours Mon–Thu 9–5/Fri 9–4, and after-hours emergency 480.382.4756: https://templesolel.org/home/
- ShulCloud’s current public page lists a different after-hours death emergency number, 480.716.7695, so this needs explicit confirmation before redesign copy is finalized: https://templesolelaz.shulcloud.com/

## Usability opportunities

- Organize around the primary visitor jobs: I’m new, attend a service/event, join or renew, find children’s/teen programs, reach clergy for a life-cycle need, give, and log in as a member.
- The current header has seven top-level labels with dense nested lists and duplicate handoffs. A simpler “New here / Members / Families / Events / Give” pattern could preserve every destination while reducing scanning.
- Make the weekly service time, Oneg time, address/directions, livestream, calendar, and contact action visible together. Keep external ShulCloud/Google Calendar handoffs explicit and labeled.
- Treat calendar data as one source of truth or explain the relationship between the Google embed and WordPress events archive. The two surfaces can show different date ranges and repeated events.
- Add currency controls for seasonal pages and forms. Current homepage is in a 2026 High Holiday/membership-renewal cycle, while the forms page mixes 2025–26 and 2026–27 assets.
- Several linked pages returned almost no visible content during inspection: 8th–12th Grade, Auxiliaries/K’hilot, and Temple Solel Endowment Foundation. Verify whether these are unpublished, template failures, or intentionally empty before promoting them.
- Board page says “photos coming soon”; board names and staff content should be reviewed as live operational data before migration. Decorative generated image alt text (“Black and Gold Classy Minimalist Circular Name Logo…”) and blank image alts should be replaced with meaningful accessibility descriptions.
- Preserve the recognizable logo, blue/yellow/orange palette, warm sanctuary imagery, and plainspoken welcoming language; update hierarchy, spacing, and CTA prominence rather than replacing the visual identity.
